The company was founded in1925 by Giovanni Ferrari; and today the business is run by the thir generation of the Ferrari family, who expanded and diversified the product range a few years ago with traditional recipes from their paternal grandparents from Liguria and local specialities from Piemonte. All products are home-made personally in the business, using state of the art equipment, but the food is based on the same traditional recipes handed down for generations. The Ferrari family owns olive groves in Liguria in the village of Ranzo (IM). The village is located on the causeway connecting the Ligurian coast inland along the Valle Arroscia. The hill is covered with olive Taggiasca offering the eyes a spectacle of rare beauty. Especially from October to February, the landscape is full of colors for the ripe olives which varies from green to black and the presence of networks that allow the collection still handmade.
The farm includes hazel and vineyards located in the prestigious area of Dogliani (CN) from which to derive the grape must required for the performance of the typical jam made from grape must pears and hazelnuts. Dogliani with Langhe Roero and Monferrato from 2014 have become part of UNESCO heritage.
